Who says the field of management can be taught only under the rigor of academia?

Management is a field of both study and practice, and it requires no qualification. Field of management is one example of many redundancies authors create with the phrase field of. Authors often feel uncomfortable writing about a field using the name of the field alone. Phrases such as field of psychology, field of economics, and field of sociology are common in scholarly manuscripts, but in nearly all cases, authors can discuss fields unambiguously without pointing out to the reader that they are writing about a field.
